Joshua Usen is a board certified physician in Family Practice since 1997. Dr. Usen received his New York State license in 1997.
Born and raised in Amherst, NY, Dr. Usen graduated from SUNY Binghamton where hereceived his bachelor’s degree in 1992. He earned his Masters of Science from Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 1993 and received his Medical Degree in May 1997 from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. Following medical school, Dr.Usen did his residency at Sisters Hospital in downtown Buffalo.
Dr. Usen is a member of several professional organizations. Some of them include the Western NY Osteopathic Medical Society, where he served as President for four years, the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society and the Erie County Medical Society.
Dr. Usen has written articles that were published in Medical Economics magazine, Readers Digest as well as articles in local area papers. Additionally, he is a member of the faculty of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine,
University of Buffalo and Daemen College. Additionally, he has received additional training in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
With a special interest and additional training in bariatric medicine, Dr. Usen created the Sweet Home Weight and Wellness program, a multidisciplinary approach to weight loss – using medicines, diet strategies, exercise and the latest technologies.
He is certified to perform BoTox injections and use dermal fillers.
